Quality testing of a pipe for the oil industry (IRIS Instit HBM Comes to IRIS’s Rescue at Short Notice IRIS, an independent institute based in Stavanger focusing on applied research, was quality testing a pipe for one of its customers in the oil industry. With testing well under way, the client had additional requirements for testing and was questioning whether the equipment that had been selected could provide thenecessary measurement data and accurate results. HBM was quickly brought in to take the required measurements using strain gauges and a data logging system to prevent delays in the work and potential reworking.
