Power, Flexibility, and Simplicity Converge for City of Lynchburg Case Study The City of Lynchburg’s Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant is located on 19 acres off Virginia's Concord Turnpike, and runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Twenty-four buildings with over 500 pieces of equipment make up the 15 processes that are used in the treatment of sewage that arrives at the plant each day. The plant treats an average of 13 million gallons a day with peak flows up to 70 million gallons. It serves the City of Lynchburg as well as the Counties of Amherst, Bedford and Campbell.
