Case Study Pingyi County People’s Hospital in China hosts advanced TEE simulation training course With the importance placed on transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) increasing throughout medical specialities and hospitals around the world, Pingyi County People’s Hospital has been working hard to get their staff trained on this complex skillset. In 2019, two senior doctors from the Ultrasound Department of Pingyi County People’s Hospital, Zhou Sudong and Feng Zhiqiang, were assigned to study transesophageal ultrasound to further the skills of their own department. Dr. Sudong, a chief physician at the hospital, participated in a week long training course at Fuwai Hospital in Beijing, and Dr. Zhiqiang, a deputy chief physician, partook in a three-month TEE course at the hospital.
