Long Rake Spar - Perfect Pocket Park Paving The recent recovery of public spaces through ‘Pocket Parks’ in London was something Long Rake Spar were glad to be involved in. Haringey Council’s 20 year plan is to improve streets, squares, parks, canal and riverside spaces across London with the introduction of these Pocket parks. SureSet were requested to provide the pathway for a park in West Green Road, Tottenham which had been designed by the residents and traders in the area. The original pathway through the park had been finished with loose gravel which had resulted in the Type 1 sub-base being exposed in the main walking areas. This raised concerns about the long term maintenance issues with because unless the gravel is swept on a daily basis and/or backfilled and compacted regularly it
