Pea Processing Plant Background XPO Logistics (Birds Eye) had their pea processing season coming up and previously faced issues with odour and overloaded solids going through to Yorkshire Waters local Saltend Waste water treatment works. Yorkshire Water were investing £35m to upgrade the works however they wanted XPO Logistics to treat their peak load throughout the pea processing season to be treated directly at source. The Overall Objective XPO Logistics required a treatment system capable of treating large flows of over 200m3/hr at its peak whilst reducing the TSS and neutralising the pH levels.
