Network Rail, in partnership with Capgemini, conducted a feasibility study for an AI-based solution to audit safety-critical communication (SCC) compliance in calls. This AI-driven system used custom speech-to-text recognition and natural language processing to analyze call clarity, completeness, compliance, and focus. After testing, the solution proved effective in identifying non-compliant calls and training needs, enhancing safety and operational efficiency. Network Rail plans to scale this technology for broader deployment to ensure continued compliance and improve railway safety.
