Traditionally, a post drilling survey in the lateral would require a pumping truck, a wireline truck, and a designated 12 (+/-) hours of dedicated rig time to run an electric line gyro. By utilizing a drop survey landing in the BHA and the rig's circulating time as the pump down regime, Gyrodata was able to save time and reduce the risk of stuck pipe. ?
