Oakland International Airport Terminal 1 Renovation – Phase 1 Overview Oakland International Airport renovated its circa 1960 260,000 sf Terminal 1 building. The Port had supported this building with the integration of new technology, but the infrastructure was long outdated. The design included complete upgrades to the technology systems and a relocation of the originalMPOE serving the airport. (Image ©Thomas Prosek) TEECOM’s Contribution TEECOM’s design responsibilities included a new public address system, visual paging, complete upgrade to networking switches, and design of additional telecom closets for tenant premise wiring.
