Nusenda Credit Union, founded in 1936, is the largest credit union by membership in the state of New Mexico – with more than 190,000 members and 19 branches along the Rio Grande. Its original intent was to serve the employees of Albuquerque Public Schools, but its membership has expanded over time to ensure the strength and stability of the cooperative. Nusenda now has more than 500 Select Employer Groups statewide, including school districts, institutions of higher learning, hospitals, unions, nonprofits, local businesses, and more.
