The bridge is a steel truss construction, mass concrete piers and abutments and a timber transom deck. The rail line that crosses the bridge is part of the electrified rail network. This project entailed the replacement of 553 sleepers and some paint repair under the transom soffits on the Nogoa River Bridge. Starting in November 201
