No. 10 Power Boiler MACT Port Townsend, WA Harris Group provided scoping and estimating as well as detailed design services for modications to Port Townsend Paper’s No. 10 Power Boiler to comply with MACT regulatory requirements. The project scope included replacement of an existing wet scrubber, installation of a new wet electrostatic precipitator (WESP) and installation of a new overre air system. A new electrical transformer and MCC room was required to service the new electrical loads. The Challenge: In December 2012, the Environmental Protection Agency announced the nal industrial boiler MACT standards. The Port Townsend Paper Corporation (PTPC) No. 10 Power Boiler (No. 10 PB) was required to comply with these MACT standards by January 31, 2016. The No. 10 PB did not meet the MACT
