EHW were appointed to provide architectural and design coordination services to Ashe Construction during the build phase on site. The project comprised the erection of a two story teaching facility to provide four dedicated classrooms at both ground and fi rst fl oor levels for this two-form entry primary school offering placements for children aged between 4 and 11. In addition to the new teaching space, further smaller learning resource rooms, small group spaces and ancillary toilets for pupils and staff were created. The new building was a detached block with its own heating plant and was constructed using a steel structural frame, a cavity wall external envelope with a mix of facing brickwork and render to the façade, and a fl at roof with a single ply membrane.
