Municipal day nursery in Lauterach
The municipal day nursery in Lauterach, near Bregenz in Austria, is located in the middle of elds and meadows. To create more space for a total of three kindergarten groups, the day nursery has now been extended with a new building. The new section of the building is located right next to the existing part and takes on the same height and alignment. Following the plans of the bernado bader architects, a sequence of rectangular volumes has developed to form a prelude to a wide main building. As well as the typical wood material used in this location, sustainability has also played a key role. With an area of around 960 m2, the day nursery now has enough space for 65 children. This includes new spaces for play and fun as well as for withdrawal. Natural, breathable materials and bright rooms
