MCCDA is responsible for dispatching the appropriate emergency service agencies. These agencies include 4 law enforcement agencies, 1 full time city fire department, 12 volunteer fire departments, and 1 EMS agency. business challenge T o describe emergency services as “mission-critical” is an understatement. Should the primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) go down due to natural disaster or other catastrophes, emergency services will be in high demand and need to continue working.
