The Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Cabinet for Health and Family Services sought to improve the speed and efficiency of remote child support payments, which in 2023 processed more than 42,000 payments totaling $28.5 million. Challenges included fragmented systems, validation errors, and overnight delays before payments could be disbursed. Conduent introduced its KidSTAR Remote Payments solution, enabling counties to scan payment instruments directly into the system with instant validation, clear record-keeping, and online documentation. The system reduced paper processing time by up to three days, ensured same-day payment forwarding when received before 2 p.m., improved accuracy, and enhanced tracking.
