Mississippi Weigh Stations Project Description: The Mississippi weigh stations use a ramp sorter conguration to direct commercial vehicles to report or bypass the stations. All trucks on the main road are directed onto the ramp where they are weighed inmotion by IRD-PAT Bending Plate® WIM Scales. An iSINC® controller changes the lane control signals based on the whether the vehicle is over the weight tolerance set by the station sta. At the station, vehicle weights are monitored using IRD’s Operator Display software. All of the ramp sorter systems in Mississippi were recently upgraded with new scales and use Dynax® sensors for o- scale detection to ensure optimal accuracy of the weigh-in-motion weights.
