CUSTOMER CHALLENGE A cost effective method of raising, lowering and tilting a patient table. The table must be adjustable to accommodate a patient in pain, in a quiet and non-vibrating manner while moving at a constant speed. Positions must be controlled with either a handheld pendant or foot pedal containing a lockout feature to prevent unauthorized use. SOLUTION Duff-Norton provided a UL60601 medical compliant system of actuators and controls, with 15° and 30° Trendelenburg tilt capability and a battery backup system. The table is designed to accommodate different positions required for demanding medical procedures, with an ultimate focus on patient and user safety.
