Hadleigh Castings adopted Altair Inspire Cast to modernize aluminum casting development and reduce reliance on expert trial-and-error methods. After the retirement of a senior metallurgist, the company needed a repeatable, simulation-based approach. Using Inspire Cast, engineers simulated mold filling and solidification for a motorsport sump component and identified that risers and chillers were unnecessary. This simplified mold design, reduced material usage, and eliminated costly tooling iterations. Since implementation, Hadleigh has achieved a 100% first-time-right casting record, reduced waste, lowered development time, and now provides simulation reports as part of its customer services.
