Working on belhalf of Wilmott Dixon Construction, Ron Hull Demolition reduced the popular landmark to 4000 tonnes of rubble, which was then recycled at Ron Hull Group's Mangham Road, Rotherham premises. The asbestos removal was carried out by the Ron Hull Demolition's Specialist in-house Team, followed by Soft Strip of the building and subsequent demolition by mechanical means utilizing a 45 tonne Excavator complete with Shear attachment. The 50 tonne machine waded in at the deep end and the Building was demolished in two weeks with four weeks to clear up and level the site, followed by laying topsoil ready to accept grass seed.
