Trusted to deliver Case study // London Southend Airport Railway Station CLIENT CONTRACT VALUE DATE COMPLETE Stobart Group £16m 2012 THE CHALLENGE To design and construct an entirely new railway station, including new platforms, station buildings, footbridge, surrounding landscaping, car parks and highways alterations. WHAT WE DID Using our in-house civil engineering experience, we built all of the substructure and the new platforms, and completed the trackside work including new overhead line gantries. We worked collaboratively with our key subcontractor, Birse Rail, to construct the building superstructure with Stobart Rail constructing all other aspects of the project.
