Leading Lights – GET plc – part of Schneider Electric Founded nearly 50 years ago GET Plc is the UK’s leading manufacturers of electrical accessories, supplying a wide range of wiring accessories, electrical appliances and security products. In November 2006, GET Plc was acquired by Schneider Electric. The company successfully transformed the old Railway Carriage and Wagon Works in West Bromwich into additional office and warehouse space. Having brought the building structure up to standard, GET then had Redirack install a narrow aisle storage system which runs the length of the building. The aisles are almost 85 metres long and are split by a transfer aisle 30 metres from the front of the racking system. Each rack has 30 bays with either 4 or 5 beam levels.
