LBJ Express Dallas, Texas HNTB supported North Texas Tollway Authority on LBJ Express improvements The LBJ Express was a Texas Department of Transportation project to completely rebuild the LBJ (I-635) corridor east of U.S. 75 to west and south of I-35. The project included eight rebuilt general purpose lanes, new continuous frontage roads and a new six-lane priced managed lanes facility throughout the 17-mile corridor. As general engineering consultant for the North Texas Tollway Authority, HNTB provided detailed construction, operations and maintenance cost estimates in support of the NTTA financial analysis and decision to develop the project or allow a public-private partnership procurement through TxDOT. Currently, HNTB servces as NTTA's program management consultant.
