Challenges: The 6m diameter and 15m deep storage chamber was just a few metres from local houses. A protected Victorian road island was located exactly above where the pumping station was planned.Key achievements and innovations: The Victorian road islands hand-carved granite setts were carefully removed and put into storage for later reinstatement.
