KUMC - ORR MAJOR GROSS ANATOMY PROGRAM STATEMENT The Orr Major Building program statement was initiated for the purpose of providing state-of-the-art teaching laboratory space for surgical skills and anatomy training. Existing surgical skills laboratory space is spread throughout multiple buildings and does not accommodate a desired shared resource model. Existing anatomy laboratory space is past its usable life span and does not provide adequate ventilation for students and professors within the space. The existing anatomy laboratories are made up of multiple smaller spaces that are not conducive to the large classroom environment that is desired. Three options for construction are identified in the study, all of which outline multiple ways to achieve a first phase of renovation
