The challenge Before using allpay, we processed direct debits in-house via our housing management system (HMS). As the process was largely manual, there were only one or two people who had knowledge of the process, which involved posting out and processing paper mandates and generating a Bacs file from the system. Once this was completed we would then send this file to the council and would retrieve files from Bacs to manual process adjustment
