Building automation controls became a necessary addition to make the certification a reality. Kiowa partnered with BCS for their reputation and strong presence among similar facilities. During the process, BCS assisted a smooth integration of a new system for the staff, the LEED Certification requirements and system design. The team succeeded in building the first critical access hospital in the United States to LEED Platinum standards.
