Keele University, one of Europe’s most sustainability-focused institutions, partnered with Vertiv to modernize its on-campus data centers as part of its 2030 carbon neutrality goal. The university deployed Vertiv™ Liebert® APM 600 modular UPS and centralized battery systems, achieving up to 99% efficiency and major space savings. Modular hot-swappable design ensures scalability, redundancy, and minimized downtime. Powered fully by locally generated wind and solar, the data centers cut emissions while supporting research and teaching. Keele’s IC7 facility will house a new data center running entirely on renewable energy.
