Case Study – Ironmongers Row Organisation Ironmongers Row, based in Islington, London is a multi-use leisure facility comprising of a Swimming Pool, Spa, Fitness Suite (gym, cardio zone, group classes) and in homage to its roots a laundry. Originally constructed in 1931 as a public baths and wash house, Ironmongers Row added a Turkish Bath some 7 years later. The building was Grade 2 listed in November 2006. Ironmongers Row is now owned by GLL a leading Charitable Social Enterprise supporting some 8000 people. Background In 2010 planning permission for the renovation of Ironmongers Row was granted and the £16m project got underway later in 2010.
