The Texas Medical Center (TMC), which consists of 21 hospitals and welcomes more than 160,000 employees, students, patients and visitors each day, is the world’s largest life-sciences destination. In creating InterContinental’s new hotel for the extensive medical community, HOK drew inspiration from historical context and nature in nearby Brays Bayou, Hermann Park and the Medical Center.
