INEOS VINYLS Removal Of EDC Vapourisers, Drums & Ancillary Equipment INEOS Vinyls November 2010 - March 2011 The redundant pressure vessels were sited within a top tier COMAH Site in live project areas with services carrying EDC and Chlorine. Initial preparation works involved removal of pipe ranges and associated steam/vapour loops and valves using cold cut methods, lifting undertaken using a 60t mobile crane. Hydraulic/air driven enerpacs were used to remove flange bolts. All pipe joints/valves contained asbestos gaskets which where removed by our in-house Asbestos Division. On completion of ancillary removal, access platforms, walkways and landings were detached. Working from independent scaffold, cold cutting techniques were adopted by way of reciprocating air saws.
