The original 2,500m 2 roof had been specified with 150 rooflights, which were a significant cause of leaks. Raised areas of the roof were also causing pools of standing water after periods of heavy rain due to inadequate drainage. The poorly insulated roof was also making the school building difficult and expensive to heat.
