Herning Kommune, a Danish municipality, secured patient data and critical health logs by deploying Yubico’s Security Key C NFC. With over 1,500 nurses and nursing assistants initially equipped, the easy-to-use, phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication meets NSIS and eIDAS requirements. Yubico’s solution provides user-based logging for medication audits and is the preferred 2FA factor for 90% of users. Plans are underway to double deployment to all healthcare employees, enhancing the protection of sensitive medical information across the municipality.
