Hatchet Ridge Wind Communication System Client: Pattern Energy Location: California, USA POWER provided Owner’s Engineer and detailed engineering services for design and programming of a substation monitoring, control and communication system for a 44 turbine wind farm. Owner’s Engineer responsibilities consisted of oversight and coordination of all communications and SCADA for the project. Detailed engineering work included the substation monitoring system and interface with three separate entities to provide the appropriate data set to each. POWER was responsible for specification and design of substation communication devices and communication infrastructure, including Ethernet, RS232, RS485, and fiber optic, within the substation and from the substation to the Telco interface
