GOOSE HOLE OVERBRIDGE Removal of Goose Hole Overbridge TATA Steel - Scunthorpe Works April 2011 Ron Hull Demolition Ltd continued their close working relationship with Tata Steel when they were asked to demolish Goose Hole Bridge, located on the Tata Steel Scunthorpe site. The bridge spanned 27 meters over Burma Road - a main arterial road through the site. RHDL and Tata worked closely together to ensure that all preliminaries to include road closures, permits and the isolation of services were in place prior to the start of the works. All works were carried out within close proximity to a live overhead 48" diameter gas main. The bridge was supported on reinforced concrete abutment walls and weighed in excess of 137 tonnes.
