Case Study
Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center: Sewer Line Rehabilitation
Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico Situation: Constructed in 1949, the hospital has 99 beds and a 65-acre property. The plastic sewer pipes in the surgical suites over- heated and caused the pipe fittings to dissolve. These pipe failures needed a long-term solution that would not disrupt normal operations for the surgical rooms. Solution: Nu Flow technicians completed the pipe lining rehabilitation project by using access points in only two of the surgical suites, so patient care was not affected. The hospital saved $800,000 with Nu Flow’s Pull-in-Place solution. Repiping would have closed the surgical suites for more than a month. Where life interacts with infrastructure.
