Fuels and Materials Cells Safety Analysis Report The AECL Safety Analysis Report (SAR) for Fuels and Materials Cells (FMC) at the AECL Chalk River Laboratory is updated every 5 years. Revisions are made to incorporate new analytical techniques, reflect procedural changes, and align with changing industry standards related to scope and content. Kinectrics performed the following work on this project: Assessed existing documents and identified areas requiring revision. Identified the main FMC processes and developed a procedure for a Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) encompassing all normal operational procedures. Held a PHA meeting, together with AECL subject-matter experts, to identify and rank hazards as input to the SAR revision. The meeting findings were documented in a PHA report. Deve
