With over 8,000 parishioners, the evangelical church parish of Stuttgart-Vaihingen is one of the largest in Baden-Württemberg. At the same time, the Stadtkirche in Stuttgart-Vaihingen provides an impressive backdrop for church services, church music performances and concerts. The church building was built in 1858, in accordance with the design by the architect Christian Friedrich Leins. The Stadtkirche was completely renovated in 2017. As well as the altar, the gallery and the organ, above all, the intention was to give the church a new, open feeling of space. This was achieved with light colours, light materials and smooth plaster on the walls. The sacred architecture in the Gothic style was retained in the process.
