Essex Partners tackle issues earlier through smarter use of data
The Challenge Currently Essex County Council provides care services to around 6,500 children and about 17,000 older people. Too often issues are managed only when crisis occurs. In 2016 and 2017, public services in the UK spent more than £16 billion on ‘late intervention’ services such as education, health, housing, benefits, community safety and criminal justice. Essex County Council, together with PredictX, uses data to tackle issues earlier through the Essex Data Programme.
