Enhancing OR Efficiency: How Monument Health Streamlined Scheduling with iQueue
Monument Health Rapid City Hospital, the largest medical center in western South Dakota, implemented iQueue for Operating Rooms to enhance scheduling efficiency and improve resource management. Previously, OR time was managed through phone calls and faxes, causing delays and inefficiencies. With iQueue’s Exchange and Analyze modules, clinics can now quickly access available OR times, reducing manual communication and streamlining scheduling. Leadership can also access real-time metrics and visualizations, enabling more informed staffing decisions. As a result, the hospital now manages 1,600 first-come, first-serve minutes per OR each month and has seen a 17% increase in released OR minutes being requested again.
