The city runs a 1.5 MGD activated sludge wastewater treatment process. The City of Ely had a failing aeration system in their aerobic sludge holding tank that had continued mechanical issues and could not keep the tank contents aerobic. The city installed a Fluidyne Jet Aeration/Mixing system in May 2012 to solve their mixing and aeration needs.
