Project Profile The site has recently (2017) been taken off-grid to allow for a £60 million maintenance programme. It was during this time that the connections to the HVAC system situated atop the roof of the Welfare Building were to be replaced. Due to the nature of the site a solution was required to install larger sized pipework without the use of heat. In addition, the site is situated close to the coast so corrosion was also a notable factor when choosing the correct piping system.
