East Bay BRT Project Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District Objective Provide project development support to the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) for the East Bay Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project to improve transit services in a 17-mile corridor connecting the cities of Berkeley, Oakland, and San Leandro. Our Approach Cambridge Systematics has provided support to AC Transit through a series of contracts totaling $11 million. Key project development activities have included: Major Investment Study (MIS). This phase examined a range of alternatives to improve transit in the corridor and identified a preferred BRT alternative that was adopted by AC Transit and was included in the financially constrained Regional Transportation Plan for the San Francisco Bay Area.
