T.Y. Lin International Group-South Bay Rapid - Segment 2

T. Y . Lin International Group | Projects | South Bay Rapid - Segment 2 T. Y . Lin International (TYLI) was contracted by the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) to complete the final design of Segment 2 of the South Bay Rapid Project. Designed to emulate rail service, the South Bay Rapid is a 22-mile-long bus rapid transit (BRT) system that runs from southernmost San Diego County to downtown San Diego. The system will include the terminal station near the border, four stations in the Chula Vista area, and a series of stations in downtown San Diego. Segment 2 crosses State Route 125 (SR 125), from the East Palomar Street/Olympic Parkway intersection to East Lake Parkway on the east side of SR 125, and includes a new Santa Venetia BRT station and bridge over SR 125 in Chula Vista.
