CASE STUDY Earthworks Slippage Monitoring: St Leonards CLIENT: NETWORK RAIL/COSTAIN THE CHALLENGE A 40m section of railway embankment near Hastings, prone to slippage, was to have vegetation removed. Installation and monitoring was required from mid-2016 and was required to have photographic imaging of the track, so that any potential hazard could be seen by NR operational staff to avoid site visits. Costain approached Senceive to provide its FlatMesh high precision wireless dual axis tilt sensors. The response and installation was required immediately and the monitoring was long-term.
