Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre, Loughborough
Founded in 1981, Dogs Trust (formerly the National Canine Defence League) is the largest dog’s welfare charity in the UK. Each year they care for around 16,000 dogs at 18 nationwide Rehoming Centres. The latest £7m Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre, based in Wymeswold near Lough borough, has been designed to the very highest standards of sustainabi- lity, featuring a biomass boiler, green roofs, under-floor heating, solar panels and a rainwater system.
