THE CHALLENGE... Our client, a food manufacturer based in North Yorkshire, was setting up a new factory however due to the location of the site there was no access to a mains sewer connection. Therefore, to manage the waste water from operations, they planned to construct an on-site treatment plant. Before construction of the proposed plant began, our client wanted to guarantee that the environmental permit to discharge the treated effluent would be granted.
