Digester Blow Tank Replacement Camas, WA The original No. 57 Tank at Georgia-Paci c in Camas was a 200 ton capacity tile-concrete tank and constructed in 1982 as the blow tank for the Magne te digester. Repairs were made to the tank to extend its life, but continued leakage further degraded the tank’s condition. This project replaced the tank with a new steel tank. The existing white liquor oxidation system was relocated to create space for the new tank. The Challenge: The project needed to be implemented with minimal impact to mill operations while meeting tight budget limitations. Space was not available in the No. 57 tank area to construct a new tank. The mill required accurate capital cost estimates to obtain project funding approval.
