Peter Brett (PBA) | Development Consent Orders: Energy Projects PBA provided planning support in the DCO applications for two major power stations, one in Suffolk and one in South Wales, which were both granted Development Consent Orders in Summer 2015. As lead planning consultant for Watt Power, we completed and submitted two DCO applications for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) - Progress Power Station and Hirwaun Power Station, and managed the examination process for both projects. Both applications were approved in July 2015. The making of the DCOs marks an important milestone for Watt Power’s first gas fired power station projects which, subject to the outcome of the Capacity Mechanism auction, would provide two stations with generating capacity of up to 299 MW
