CHALLENGES WCL is an advisory and delivery business that works in partnerships with public, private and third sector organisations. WCL won a contract from Department for Education (DfE) to support the opening of Academies and Free Schools. As part of the application process schools and academies must run a public consultation in the local area. Traditionally responses to the consultation would have been received via email and then manually collated, a very time consuming and labour intensive process. TSIP needed a tool that could not only handle large volumes of responses from many sources but also allow this data to be reviewed and worked on by all those involved in running the consultation — whilst complying with stringent rules regarding security of UK public data.
