Davidson County Solid Waste Management Facility - Smith Gardner Inc Challenge Smith Gardner, Inc. (S+G) has provided a number of services including the preparation of Site Suitability and Permit to Construct applications for a 40+ year landfill expansion. The challenge was a comprehensive evaluation of the complex geology beneath the subject site. Solution S+G completed a geophysical evaluation of the entire property as well as geophysical evaluations of open boreholes prior to completion as piezometers. These investigations determined that the site was underlain by numerous fractures as well as several diabase dikes.
